first birthday of 163 high school
A year has passed since the opening of CLXIII General Secondary School in the Wesoła district – a building we had the pleasure of designing. Today, as a guest visitor, we see how vibrant the space we created is. The building, filled with young people, has become not only a place of learning but also of freedom – where the boundaries between class and recreation blur, inspiring an unconventional approach to education.
Warm, natural materials such as pine plywood and wood wool give the interiors a welcoming character and ensure good acoustics. Glazed entrances to classrooms open up the space to new ways of working and collaborating.
The heart of the building is the school auditorium – austere in its form, finished on the corridor sides with concrete with an OSB impression. Inside the auditorium, the concrete structure remains hidden, dominated by wood and OSB paneling. The hall's distinctive character has made it a favorite meeting place and a recognizable symbol of the school. It was here that students and teachers celebrated the anniversary today, filling the space with laughter, conversation, and energy—using every corner for shared fun and celebration.
Looking at this space today, we feel proud—of a project that not only existed on paper but has become a vibrant, living organism!
