lubań shelter

The Lubań shelter is a complex of shelters nestled into the slope of Wierch Lubań, designed in harmony with the natural landscape of the Gorce Mountains. The simple, archetypal form of the buildings has been broken down into smaller structures that have been adapted to the terrain and existing tree cover.

The main stone structure, partially embedded in the slope, houses technical facilities, back-up facilities, a dining room with a panoramic view and hostel rooms. On the upper level, there is a terrace with a camping shelter and four wooden residential cabins, creating a flexible accommodation layout. The separation of functions allows for seasonal use and optimal energy management.

The new tent base with a shelter and sanitary facilities has been discreetly integrated into the landscape so as not to disturb the view of the clearing and the surrounding mountains.
