łeba construction

Before the eyes of tourists visiting Łeba Beach, our Museum of Underwater Archaeology and Baltic Fisheries
is rising — the 10th branch of the National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk.
The building is slowly taking shape and will finally begin to resemble the form we gave it long ago during the design process.
At first, the shape of the museum can only be read through the form of the steel structure, then the substructure and all the layers,
until finally its hull will be covered with beautiful wood.

It’s like a dune, like a ship, like a log sculpted by sea waves,
but this form will certainly become a recognizable element of the Łeba landscape.
Right now, switch on your imagination! It will be beautiful!

True, the wind is playing tricks, and mounting the 8.5‑ton beams,
with a “sail” surface of about 80 m² and a length of 39 metres, is temporarily impossible.
Nevertheless, the construction does not wait and is installing the first elements of the steel “belly” of the main facade.
